EntrepreNorth, a project of MakeWay Charitable Society ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the EntrepreNorth App (“the App”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect several types of information from and about users of the App, including
- Personal information, such as your name, IP address, email address, and other identifiers by which you may be contacted online or offline.
- Business information that you provide us in order to offer educational resources and support.
- Usage data, like information about how you interact with the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information: To present our App and its contents to you. To provide you with information, products, or services you request from us. To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it. For any other purpose with your consent. We may use your information in the aggregate to report to our partners and analyze the viability of our application.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not share, sell, or otherwise disclose your personal information for purposes other than those outlined in this Privacy Policy. However, we may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.
You may choose to register or log in to our platform using social networking services such as Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn. When you register or log in through these services, you grant us permission to access and use certain information from your social media profile as permitted by the terms and conditions of those services and your privacy settings therein.
We use TelemetryDeck to collect anonymized usage data. This helps us understand how our users are using our app and how we can improve it. We use Stripe for payment, analytics, and other business services. Stripe collects and processes personal data, including identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us, including for fraud detection and prevention. For operational purposes, such as account verification, password resets, and other app communications, the App utilizes Mailgun, a third-party email service provider. This service helps us to ensure reliable delivery of transactional emails to our users. By using our service, you consent to the processing of your information for email communication purposes.
Your information will not be sold to third parties.
4. Data Security
We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We store all information you provide to us behind firewalls on our secure servers.
5. Data Sovereignty
This Privacy Policy has been developed with consideration for Indigenous Data Sovereignty, as articulated through the OCAP® Principles and the CARE Principles. Decisions around changes to this Privacy Policy and future use of data will be made with consideration of and alignment with principles of Indigenous Data Sovereignty.
6. How to update/delete your personal information
Users can delete their personal information by deleting their profile in the App. Shared data, such as business data shared with a cofounder, will not be deleted unless both users remove their accounts. If you would like anything specifically removed please contact [email protected]
7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
Our policy is to post any changes we make to our Privacy Policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will notify you through a mass email communication.
